Welcome
We are group of experienced social workers, therapists and youth support specialists who work with clients across the Milwaukee area. Our goal is to meet each client where they are, honor their experience, and help them become more engaged with the continuing adventure of wholeness and integration.
Our perspective is depth-oriented and humanistic. We do not just aim to treat symptoms, but work with you to understand the roots of your challenges and what they have to tell you about who you are and how you are growing.
We work with individuals, couples, and families, using a range of depth-oriented approaches. We see each client as unique and work with you to find the tools that facilitate your healing and growth.
We look forward to meeting you wherever you are on your journey, and invite you to take a closer look.
“The trick is in what one emphasizes. We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same.”
— Carlos Castaneda
Depth Psychotherapy
Depth-oriented psychotherapy dives into the ‘dynamic unconscious’, where suppressed or split-off aspects of our mental life profoundly influence us. By bringing awareness and attunement to these hidden dimensions, this therapeutic approach facilitates the healing of old wounds, the fulfillment of unmet needs, and the natural impulse toward personal growth.
Depth psychotherapy looks beyond symptom alleviation or behavioral modification, aiming to cultivate self-understanding, inner wisdom, and a sense of groundedness and inner strength.
Our clinicians employ diverse methods to tap into these deeper processes, such as Jungian analysis, dreamwork, art therapy, sandtray therapy, focusing-oriented psychotherapy, and wilderness therapy.
“The critical issue is allowing yourself to know what you know. That takes an enormous amount of courage.”
— Bessel van der Kolk
Youth & Family Support
One of our core vocations is to help youth living with serious mental health and behavioral challenges.
Our work in this area is informed by the Nurtured Heart Approach, developed by Howard Glasser to transform ‘difficult behaviors’ exhibited by intense children. The Nurtured Heart Approach shifts the frame from a focus on reforming difficult behaviors to transforming them, by understanding what they are communicating and powerfully recognizing the gifts of each child carries.
We use a team-based model that combines therapy, mentorship, psychoeducation, and advocacy. A great deal of research now shows that early intervention in serious mental illness is critical to reducing the rates of hospitalization and helping youth thrive in their communities.
If you are a resident of Jefferson or Waukesha County and interested in receiving such services, we welcome you to reach out for more information.

Somatic Trauma Therapy
Trauma occurs after an experience (or many experiences) so overwhelming and threatening that the brain, body and psyche become stuck in survival mode. Though it can range from simple (a car accident, a natural disaster) to complex (an abusive parent, experiences in war, torture), in each case the brain’s protective circuits become hyper-active. A traumatized person might know they are sitting in a garden, while their nervous system feels like it’s in a war zone.
Healing trauma requires gradually down regulating the survival response, safely processing traumatic experiences stored in implicit (unconscious) bodily memory systems, and gradually restoring a capacity to feel grounded and to experience safety, joy, creativity and connection.
Our clinicians draw from somatic and neuroscience-informed approaches, including sensorimotor psychotherapy, EMDR, brainspotting, and trauma-informed yoga.
Clinical Consulting
We offer clinical consulting and trainings to therapy practices and social service organizations. More information to come soon.
Though we have unique experience in these areas, we work with many people from many walks of life. As the Roman playwright Terence said, “I am a human being, I consider nothing human alien to me.” If you think we can help, we invite you to reach out.
